Rene Redzepi proves Nordic cuisine still reigns supreme, keeping his World's Top Restaurant ranking for the third year in a row at the San Pellegrino World's Top 50 2012 awards, which were announced at the ungodly hour of 5.30am Australian time this morning.

Arguably the world's most comprehensive listing of top restaurants hit another year, with Denmark's Noma topping the pops for the third year in a row, closely followed by Spain's El Celler de Can Roca and Mugaritz, making it an unchanged top 3, with Brasil's D.O.M (+3) and Italy's Osteria Franscescana (-1) rounding out the top 5.

Not many controversial entries, however Heston Blumenthal proves television deals and books won't get in the way of inspired vision, with his new project Dinner by Heston Blumenthal entering the charts as a new entry straight to number 9.

Props to Australia's own Brett Graham of London's The Ledbury for moving up 20 places to number 14, while other Australians fared relatively well:

Marque rose 7 places to 61
Attica dropped 10 places to 63
Tetsuya's dropped 18 places to 76
